Course Establishment and Training Delivery

Once a student is enrolled, the administrative focus shifts to ensuring that training is set up and delivered in a way that is compliant, consistent, and well-documented. Your role in this phase is critical — the systems you manage, the records you maintain, and the support you provide to trainers all directly affect the quality of the training experience and your RTO's compliance position.

Course Overview

This unit covers the administrative responsibilities that support training delivery, including course and class setup in the SMS, managing learning resources, scheduling, trainer support, and maintaining records for compliance and audit purposes.

  • Your Administrative Role in Training Delivery - The key administrative responsibilities that support training delivery, including managing systems, coordinating resources, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.

  • Managing Training and Learning Resources - Resource management processes in the SMS, learning resource review cycles, and ensuring resources are current and fit-for-purpose.

  • Course and Class Scheduling - Maintaining courses in the SMS, class scheduling processes, attendance record-keeping, and trainer assignment and allocation.

  • Supporting Trainers for Compliance - How the admin team supports trainers and assessors, trainer qualification verification, and documenting delivery evidence.

  • Records, Facilities and Work Placements - Maintaining records and documentation for compliance, facilities and equipment oversight, and coordinating work placements.


Assessment

This unit includes a self-marking knowledge quiz and written assignments marked by your specialist coach, our very own RTO Administration Consultant. Written assignments require you to apply your learning directly within your own RTO context.
