Overview

This unit takes you into the detail of the Standards for RTOs 2025: the shift to outcome-focused regulation, the four quality areas, and the Compliance Requirements and Credential Policy that sit alongside the Outcome Standards. You will work through how compliance requirements map across the student journey, and how to use ASQA's Practice Guides as tools for self-assurance, before building a Compliance Risk Register and an action plan for continuous improvement.

By the end of this unit, you will understand not just what the Standards require but how those requirements shape delivery, support and governance in practice, and you will have a structured way to identify and manage compliance risk in your own RTO.
