RTO Compliance Coaching
Developing Training and Assessment Strategies
Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS) are more than a compliance artefact, they are the backbone of a high-performing, learner-focused RTO. In this topic, we explore how TAS documents support quality delivery and assessment, meet regulatory obligations and reflect meaningful industry and learner engagement.

Overview
This unit treats the Training and Assessment Strategy as the backbone of quality delivery rather than a compliance artefact. You will explore what a TAS must describe, the compliance obligations attached to it, and how it connects to your wider QMS. You will work through industry consultation (why it is required and how to conduct and document it), reviewing and auditing a TAS against a checklist, and developing a compliant TAS for a real training product on your scope, including packaging rules, volume of learning and delivery mode.
By the end of this unit, you will be able to develop, review and defend a TAS that meets regulatory obligations and reflects meaningful industry and learner engagement.
