Overview

This unit moves from operational compliance into governance and leadership. You will examine governance structures proportionate to RTO size and scope, the decision-making and accountability frameworks that support quality delivery, and the specific Governance quality area requirements. You will also cover Fit and Proper Person Requirements (who they apply to and how to evidence compliance) and staff management obligations, from position descriptions and delegation through to performance and disciplinary processes.

By the end of this unit, you will understand the governance foundations that underpin a quality RTO and your own responsibilities, as a senior compliance professional, for leading a culture of compliance.
