The resources and tools have been contextualised to enable commercial heavy vehicle operators to apply fatigue risk management strategies, identify and act on signs of fatigue, operate within a fatigue risk management system, plan and navigate trips, update and maintain records, comply with work and rest limits, and implement appropriate strategies to minimise fatigue during work activities.
 
Training in this unit will suit all employees wishing to enter the transport and logistics industry as a commercial driver. Being awarded this unit of competency is a necessary requirement to operate under National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Fatigue Management Accreditation but is only one of the criteria.
