As well as knowledge about hazard perception, risk control and low risk car driving behaviour, judgement, decision making and multi-tasking that builds on driver licence requirements across a range of light vehicle driving roles and situations.
 
The materials include concepts and practice opportunities for operating light vehicles on rural and urban roads with bends of different cambers, negotiating hazards and monitoring traffic, managing vehicle performance, and effectively applying steering and braking techniques to negotiate a range of road and traffic conditions.
 
Training in this unit will suit all employees wishing to enter the transport and logistics industry in a car driving role where safe light vehicle driving behaviours are applied without supervision in accordance with relevant state/territory roads and traffic authority licence requirements and regulations.
