Student Handbook Review Checklist FORM

The CWTS Student Handbook Review Checklist is a fully editable, rebrand-ready form aligned to the Standards for RTOs 2025. Designed for RTO compliance officers, quality managers, and administrators responsible for maintaining student-facing documentation, it provides a structured framework for reviewing your Student Handbook against the marketing and information provision requirements of the Standards.
 
Without a systematic review process, Student Handbooks drift out of alignment with current obligations. Fees change, refund policies are updated, support services are added, and regulatory requirements evolve. A handbook that was accurate at registration may no longer reflect what your RTO is required to tell students before they enrol. That gap is a compliance risk that this checklist is designed to catch before ASQA does.
 
The checklist covers the key content areas your Student Handbook must address under the Standards for RTOs 2025, including pre-enrolment information obligations, fees and refunds, student support services, complaints and appeals processes, and the rights and responsibilities of students. It is structured to align with clauses 2.1 and 2.2 of the Standards for RTOs 2025 and includes the following:
