A Training and Assessment Strategy is not a document that can be written once and filed. It is a living record of how your RTO delivers a specific training product to a specific cohort, and it must accurately reflect what your RTO actually does rather than what it intended to do when the document was first written. The Standards for RTOs 2025 require a separate TAS for each training product, each student cohort, each delivery method, and each client group, and ASQA consistently identifies generic, outdated, or cohort-blind strategies as among the most common audit findings across the sector. A well-constructed TAS that is reviewed regularly, updated when circumstances change, and genuinely informed by industry engagement is one of the strongest compliance documents your RTO can produce.
 
This template provides a consistent, auditable framework for TAS development across your full scope of registration.
