Industry Engagement FORM

The CWTS Industry Engagement Form is a fully editable, rebrand-ready form aligned to the Standards for RTOs 2025. Designed for RTO managers, training coordinators, and compliance officers responsible for planning and recording industry engagement activities, it provides a structured framework for documenting the outcomes of engagement with industry and capturing the feedback that must inform your RTO's training design, assessment practices, and resource development.
 
Industry engagement is only as valuable as the record your RTO keeps of it. A conversation with an industry contact, a site visit to an employer, or participation in a peak body forum all contribute to your RTO's understanding of current industry practice and workforce needs. But without a structured, consistent record of what was discussed, who was involved, and what your RTO did as a result, that engagement produces no audit evidence and no demonstrable link to the quality of your training and assessment. The Standards for RTOs 2025 require exactly that link, and clause 1.2 specifically expects your RTO to show how industry feedback has shaped its training and assessment strategies, resources, and delivery methods.
 
This form provides a consistent, auditable process for recording industry engagement activities and translating their outcomes into continuous improvement actions. It aligns to clauses 1.2 and 4.4 of the Standards for RTOs 2025 and was developed in conjunction with the Engagement with Industry Policy Procedure. It includes the following:
 
Engagement activity type, date, and participant details fields
Industry contact and organisation identification section
Key feedback and findings recording fields
Training and assessment implications and recommended actions section
Link to TAS review and continuous improvement register prompts
Authorisation and sign-off fields for audit trail purposes
