Marketing Review Checklist FORM

The CWTS Marketing Review Checklist is a fully editable, rebrand-ready form aligned to the Standards for RTOs 2025. Designed for RTO managers, compliance officers, and marketing staff responsible for developing, approving, and maintaining promotional and advertising materials, it provides a structured framework for reviewing marketing content against the accuracy, transparency, and information provision requirements of the Standards before materials are published or distributed.
 
Marketing compliance is an area where the gap between what an RTO believes it is doing and what the Standards actually require is often wider than expected. Claims about employment outcomes, qualification names, delivery modes, fees, and entry requirements must all be accurate, current, and consistent with the pre-enrolment information your RTO is obligated to provide. Materials that were compliant when they were first published can become non-compliant when training package versions change, fees are updated, or scope of registration is amended. A structured review process applied consistently across all marketing channels is the most effective way to ensure that your promotional activities remain accurate and that prospective students can rely on the information your RTO puts in front of them.
 
This checklist provides a consistent, auditable process for reviewing marketing and promotional materials across all channels your RTO uses. It aligns to clauses 2.1 and 2.2 of the Standards for RTOs 2025 and was developed in conjunction with the Marketing and Promotions Policy Procedure and the Marketing Material Approval Register. It includes the following:
