The CWTS Student Handbook Template is a fully editable, rebrand-ready template aligned to the Standards for RTOs 2025. Designed for RTO managers, student services staff, and compliance officers responsible for developing and maintaining student-facing information documentation, it provides a comprehensive, structured framework for communicating your RTO's programs, services, policies, and student obligations to prospective and enrolled students in a clear, accessible format that meets the pre-enrolment information requirements of the Standards for RTOs 2025.
 
The Student Handbook is the primary document through which your RTO meets its obligation to provide prospective students with the information they need to make an informed decision about enrolling. The Standards for RTOs 2025 are explicit that this information must be accurate, complete, and provided before the enrolment decision is made. A handbook that is out of date, incomplete, or written in language that students cannot readily understand is not meeting that obligation, regardless of whether it technically exists as a document. Where a student makes an enrolment decision based on inaccurate or incomplete handbook information, your RTO carries the consumer protection consequences of that gap, and the Standards make clear that responsibility for the accuracy of pre-enrolment information rests with your RTO.
 
This template provides a comprehensive, auditable framework for student information provision across all programs and student cohorts your RTO services. It aligns to clauses 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 of the Standards for RTOs 2025 and was developed in conjunction with the Student Enrolment Policy Procedure and the Student Information Policy Procedure.
