Trainer/Assessor Competency Review FORM

The CWTS Trainer and Assessor Competency Review is a fully editable, rebrand-ready form aligned to the Standards for RTOs 2025. Designed for RTO managers, compliance officers, and human resources staff responsible for monitoring and maintaining trainer and assessor compliance, it provides a structured framework for reviewing the qualifications, vocational currency, and professional development of each person delivering training and assessment on behalf of your RTO.
 
Trainer and assessor competency is one of the most scrutinised areas of RTO compliance, and for good reason. The quality of your students' learning experience and the validity of the assessment judgements made on their behalf depend directly on the capability of the people delivering your programs. A competency review process that is informal, inconsistent, or undocumented leaves your RTO unable to demonstrate to ASQA that it has actively assessed and verified the compliance of its training workforce. Clauses 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 of the Standards for RTOs 2025 require exactly that demonstration, and this form is the primary evidence document through which it is made.
 
This form provides a consistent, auditable process for trainer and assessor competency review across your entire training workforce. It aligns to clauses 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 of the Standards for RTOs 2025 and was developed in conjunction with the Trainer and Assessor Competency Policy Procedure, Trainer and Assessor Register, Supervision Arrangements Declaration Form, Trainer and Assessor Competency Matrix, and Trainer and Assessor Risk Assessment Form.
